Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC), also known as Reactive Powder Concrete (RPC), represents the most innovative cement-based engineering material developed over the past three decades, achieving a significant leap in material performance. Recognized as the most durable construction material, properly reinforced UHPC exhibits mechanical properties comparable to steel structures while demonstrating excellent wear resistance and blast resistance. This makes UHPC particularly suitable for large-span bridges, blast-resistant structures (such as military installations and bank vaults), thin-walled structures, and environments with high abrasion and corrosion. Currently, UHPC has been applied in various real-world projects including wind turbine hybrid towers, long-span pedestrian bridges, highway and railway bridges, thin-walled silos, nuclear waste storage tanks, cable anchor reinforcement plates, and ATM machine protective casings.
